Before making application to the RCMP Firearms Program for a firearms license, you must complete the Canadian Firearms Safety Course delivered by an FSESO (Firearms Safety and Education Service of Ontario) instructor. Our instructors belong to the FSESO and have the designation from the RCMP to deliver these courses. Let us guide your every step.

The Firearms Safety Education Service of Ontario (FSESO) is an association of firearms safety instructors. All FSESO instructors are designated by the Chief Firearms Office to teach and examine the Canadian Firearm Safety Course (CFSC) and the Canadian Restricted Firearms Safety Course in Ontario (CRFSC).

Choosing to complete your courses with CFI means you will work with friendly and engaging teachers with lots of firearms teaching experience. Our instructors are sensitive to new people who have not received an introduction to shooting. Our instructors will work hard to ease you into shooting without creating a competitive or intimidating environment. We teach to your level, and adjust our pace according to the differentiated needs of our students. Our instructors are educators and firearms enthusiasts. Take a course with us, and you will surely enjoy your experience as our instructors demonstrate a love of teaching and a passion for firearms training. We pride ourselves on being helpful, engaging and interactive. We get you off your seat and working “hands on” and practical handling firearms as much as possible. Our instructors will also ensure you are well prepared for the practical and written exam. No one begins testing until they are fully confident and prepared. From start to finish we plan to make your learning experience interactive and engaging.
CFI offers a clean and well presented learning environment. We have current firearms. We work diligently to engage you in hands on learning opportunities, rich classroom discussion and relevant theoretical learning. We will not conduct testing until you are ready. We will never rush students and, strive to prepare you, so you are confident and ready. Our class sizes are small to optimize one on one learning opportunities. Marcell Wolf lives and breathes the shooting sports. A fierce competitor in IPSC, USPSA, IDPA, Action Pistol, Precision Pistol, Multi-gun, and Tactical Service Rifle, he’s also a certified Range Officer, IDPA Chief Safety Officer, Safety Officer Instructor, State Coordinator and Canadian Shooting Sports Provincial Instructor/Trainer.
As a FSESO-designated instructor, Marcell is certified by the Chief Firearms Office to teach and examine the CFSC and CRFSC—training everyone from first-time shooters to future instructors. Off the range, he’s a high school administrator and university faculty member, known for mentoring with the same precision and passion he brings to the sport.

Courses are offered at the Royal Canadian Legion and several other community partners within York Region and Simcoe County. If you have a corporate venue or a private group we can come to you.
